Community Update from PCSO Phillip Millichap – Penkridge & Huntington |
Good morning, hope your well.
I’ve seen a few comments recently suggesting that I’m not responding to emails or calls, or that I’m not being proactive in the areas I cover. I want to address that directly. I cover both Penkridge and Huntington, and every resident in both communities deserves and receives the same level of care, attention, and support. My role is to be visible, proactive, and engaged across the whole patch, and that is exactly what I’ve been doing. Over recent months I have: • identified and supported the charging of multiple shoplifters in Penkridge, • detected and disrupted drug‑related activity through targeted patrols in both Penkridge and Huntington, • worked closely with local schools to identify concerns early and support safeguarding for young people, • checked in with vulnerable residents and acted on issues raised, • initiated and set up the proactive Neighbourhood Watch Scheme, which is already helping residents share information and strengthen community safety, • and maintained a highly visible presence — often to the point where people joke they see me more than their own family. This is the reality of neighbourhood policing in our area, and I’m proud of the work being done. That said, I do need to be clear: I don’t work every day. If you contact me on a rest day, you may not get an immediate reply. That’s why it’s important that: • any urgent concerns, crimes, or time‑sensitive issues are reported via 101 or the Staffordshire Police website, • and not solely by emailing or messaging me personally. This ensures your report is logged, allocated, and acted upon even when I’m not on duty. If you have contacted me and not received a reply, I apologise. Please send me a direct message with your details so I can look into it properly. I remain committed to being visible, accessible, and proactive across both Penkridge and Huntington. Thank you to everyone who continues to share information and support, working together is how we keep our communities safe. Hope this clears things up. Kind regards PCSO Millichap 28983 👮♂️ | ||
